3/1/22 - 5/6/22 - Special Education PTSA Monetary Awards,  SEPTSA is excited to provide two awards this year.  Do you have or know of a student(s) who currently has or previously had an IEP and who is graduating/aging out of WWP-supported education?  Every spring SEPTSA grants an award to such a student which this year is worth  at least $500. The deadline to apply is 5/6.  Are you an upper classman at High School South or North that has volunteered for SEPTSA and supported its programs?  SEPTSA will grant an award to such as student which this year is worth  at least $300. Contact Kathleen at kkz4@verizon.net for the application and to answer any questions.  Please note that applicants must be a SEPTSA member.  The application can also be found in the WWP Scholarship Booklet on the District website under the title Senior Local Scholarship Program.  Membership registration needs to be received before the award deadline day.

12/15/21 - 2/15/22 - Lego Robotic Buddies (formerly STEM Friends), by arrangement, Virtual.  SEPTSA teen volunteers provide STEM one to one sessions with students to use Lego robotics (Lego We Do kits) to learn basic programming and build/design concepts.  Intended for student members or children of adult members.  Participation and accommodation varies based on availability and child's skills (ages 6+ preferred).  Contact Kathleen at kkz4@verizon.net to arrange a date/time and for more information.

5/20/21 - Special Education PTSA Award Deadline   Do you have or know of a student who currently has or previously had an IEP who is graduating or aging out of WWP-supported education? 5/20/21 - Special Education PTSA Meeting,  7:00-8:00pm, Virtual/Zoom.   Estate Planning and Guardianship for Special Needs Children, presented by Hinkle Prior & Fischer, Attorneys at Law. This session will offer an overview of the need to ensure that your estate planning documents are in order to ensure that your child with special needs is financially protected and maintains eligibility for benefits after your death.
