We hope kids enjoy parallel play and improving their social skills while they build and create with Legos.  We’ll provide some Lego robotics demonstrations to show interested kids and give them a chance to work with robotic kits.  Intended ages: pre-K - 6th grade. 6/12/23 - WWP SEPTSA Volunteer Appreciation & Award Dinner, 6 - 7pm, Romeo's Ristorante, Plainsboro.  We appreciate all who have supported SEPTSA's families in the long and winding journey through the school year. SEPTSA is hosting a complementary pizza dinner for members and their families at Romeo's Ristorante (10 Schalk's Crossing Rd, Plainsboro Plaza) to honor our volunteers. 4/26/23 - WWP SEPTSA Meeting, 7pm, virtual Join us for our spring meeting to honor Autism Acceptance month and discuss activities supporting the socialization and skills development of our neuro-diverse students.  We’ll feature a brief talk by Jody Wood highlighting his improv and teaching program and how they may benefit students.  We encourage students to attend this meeting as we’ll include student members providing input and comments about activities they find meaningful and engaging.  For more information and to RSVP to obtain the virtual meeting link, contact Kathleen at kkz4@verizon.net  We request RSVPs by Tuesday, April 25th

3/1 - 4/19 /23 - Special Education PTSA Monetary Awards,  SEPTSA is excited to provide two awards this year.  Do you have or know of a student(s) who currently has or previously had an IEP and who is graduating/aging out of WWP-supported education?  Every spring SEPTSA grants an award to such a student which this year is worth  at least $500. The deadline to apply is 4/19.  Are you an upper classman at High School South or North that has volunteered for SEPTSA and supported its programs?  SEPTSA will grant an award to such as student which this year is worth  at least $300. 9/27/22 - Special Education PTSA Meeting,  7pm, In-Person (6:30pm dinner) and Virtual, Community Middle School (CMS).  Join us virtually and/or at CMS for a free pizza/salad dinner for our members.  We’ll keep the PTSA meeting portion around 15 minutes to vote on our officer, budget, standing rules and other organizational management topics, and we’ll leave the remaining portion to discuss Special Services’ plans for the year, student activities, adult transition services and opportunities in NJ, as well as other topics as we embark on the new school year. For convenience to our students/ other family members heading home after sports/clubs/work, we offer "grab and go" slices from 6:30-6:45 p.m. requesting that these members attend our 7 p.m. meeting virtually when they return home.
